Line

Athens · Athens

Line is a bar in Athens, Greece, at Agathodemonos 37, about 20 minutes from the city's main bar district. It is the second project from the team behind The Clumsies, and it occupies a renovated industrial building that once housed one of Athens' best-known art galleries.

The World's 50 Best Bars ranks Line No. 5 in its 2026 list. The Pinnacle Guide singles out its drinks innovation and sustainability, and the German bar magazine Liquid Thoughts praises how the renovation kept the building's industrial, rustic charm.

Instead of grape wine, Line makes its own "grapeless wines" by fermenting seasonal fruits, honeys and vegetables, and these form the base of its drinks. Every menu must include at least one drink made entirely from an in-house by-product. Spent brewing grains go back to a partner farmer as animal feed, and melted service ice is used each morning to water the bar's plants.
