Bar Bon Funk

Bar Bon Funk is a cocktail bar in the New Bahru space in Singapore. Food & Wine says the drinks and the overall experience get equal weight there.

Food & Wine ranks Bar Bon Funk No. 4 in its Global Tastemakers 2026 list of the best global bars. It highlights a sound system built around Altec speakers, with DJs playing soul, funk, disco, jazz and house, and drinks it calls just as finely tuned.

The bar makes its own distillates, including custom amari and coffee liqueurs, and reworks familiar flavours through fermentation. Food & Wine singles out the Peanut Butter Wine, made with peanut butter genever, leftover sourdough, fermented strawberry honey and verjus, and the Lean Green Salad of mezcal, clarified miso, avocado, lime, spirulina and caramelised honey. Terrazzo floors and warm wood are meant to evoke a friend's living room.
