Bar Leone

Bar Leone is an Italian-themed bar in Hong Kong, opened in June 2023. Its co-founder Lorenzo Antinori leads the bar; Food & Wine notes that he refined his skills making martinis at London's Savoy.

The World's 50 Best Bars 2026 ranks Bar Leone No. 1, and Food & Wine places it No. 9 in its Global Tastemakers 2026 list of the best global bars. Wikipedia adds that it was also No. 1 in The World's 50 Best Bars and Asia's best bar in 2025, and quotes The Hollywood Reporter calling it "arguably the best bar in Hong Kong". Food & Wine describes it as feeling thoroughly Italian, though it stands near Hollywood Road rather than in Rome or Milan.

The bar is named after the lion that was once a symbol of Rome. The menu, as Food & Wine describes it, includes olive oil sours, Garibaldis, spritzes and Il Cacciatore, a drink modelled on a Caprese salad with gin, muddled cherry tomatoes, bianco vermouth and mastika. Wooden café tables, penny-tiled floors and old Italian film posters shape the room, and guests snack on smoked olives or the house IFC, Italian Fried Chicken.
