Bar Vitrine

Copenhagen, Denmark

Bar Vitrine is a small bar in central Copenhagen, Denmark, set in a 1960s Brutalist building. Restaurateur Riccardo Marcon, known for Barabba and Propaganda, oversees it, and the space was designed by the Copenhagen studio Frama.

Food & Wine ranks Bar Vitrine No. 7 in its Global Tastemakers 2026 list of the best global bars. The magazine describes it as a jewel-box bar bringing together a noted restaurateur, a Noma alum and a Danish design house, with food cooked to fine-dining standards.

In the kitchen, chef Dhriti Arora combines fermentation with her Indian heritage, in dishes such as corn and fermented tomato chaat and tapioca fritters with coconut chutney. The wine list leans towards natural wine. The bar opens at 2 p.m., takes no reservations and fills up quickly.
