Bramble

Bramble is a basement cocktail bar in the centre of Edinburgh, Scotland, reached from Queen Street. The entrance sits beside an unassuming dry cleaner, down a narrow staircase marked only by a small gold plaque.

Food & Wine ranks Bramble No. 3 in its Global Tastemakers 2026 list of the best global bars. The magazine praises the energy of the underground room and bartenders who are as happy to mix a classic as to suggest a new favourite after a conversation.

Bare brick walls, low lights and small nooks set the scene, and DJs play hip-hop sets that Food & Wine calls the bar's defining pulse. Gin is the house speciality, so a gimlet, a Bramble or a gin Martini is the suggested order.
