Roscioli Salumeria con Cucina

Rome, Italy

Roscioli Salumeria con Cucina is a restaurant inside a family delicatessen in Rome's Centro Storico, Italy. It belongs to the Roscioli family, whose business began as a bakery in the 1970s.

Food & Wine ranks it No. 8 in its Global Tastemakers 2026 list of the best global restaurants. The magazine tells how fans from around the world squeeze past the deli counter to eat among cans of tomatoes and cartons of olive oil.

Breadmaker Marco Roscioli bought the bakery and became known for focaccia and pizza al taglio, then added a salumeria with cured meats and cheeses around the corner. In the early 2000s his sons Alessandro and Pierluigi, later joined by their sister Maria Elena, opened a full restaurant in the deli. The cellar holds part of a 2,900-bottle wine collection, and head chef Gabriele Giura keeps dishes simple, such as thick spaghetti with butter, anchovies and toasted rye breadcrumbs.
