Charmgang

Bangkok

Charmgang is a restaurant in Bangkok's Chinatown (Yaowarat), Thailand, specialising in Thai curries, opened in 2019. It is led by chefs Geravich "Mew" Mesaengnilverakul, Atcharapon "Aew" Kiatthanawat and Aruss "Jai" Lerlerstkull, all of whom worked with David Thompson at Nahm.

Food & Wine ranks Charmgang No. 4 in its Global Tastemakers 2025 list of the top 15 international restaurants. The magazine admits the alleys leading there may make diners doubt the choice, but describes a lively room, a young crowd and a mix of traditional Thai flavours with modern flair.

Wikipedia describes the restaurant as a modern take on the raan khao gaeng, a shop serving curry and rice with side dishes, with interiors by Saran Yen Panya. Food & Wine singles out a seared scallop on a crispy coconut milk cupcake, but says the curries steal the show. In 2023 Lerlerstkull opened Charmkrung, a spin-off wine bar with small plates on Charoen Krung Road.
