Four Seasons Firenze

Florence

Four Seasons Hotel Firenze occupies two Renaissance buildings in Florence: the Palazzo della Gherardesca, built in 1473 by Bartolomeo Scala, and the adjoining Conventino. It opened in June 2008 after a multi-million-euro restoration and stands in the Giardino della Gherardesca, a vast private botanical garden about a 15- to 20-minute walk from the Duomo.

The World's 50 Best Hotels ranked it No. 9 in 2025. The Hotel Guru sums up its suites in a few words: "Think silk, velvet, marble, frescoed walls".

The 116 rooms and suites include some with original frescoed ceilings, and the flagship Royal Suite comes with 24-hour butler service. Il Palagio, led by chef Paolo Lavezzini, holds a Michelin star. The garden hides a seasonal outdoor pool of about 91 feet, and public rooms are filled with Renaissance art, stucco work and sculpture.
