Madeline Hotel & Residences, part of the Auberge Collection, is a stone-and-stucco resort in Mountain Village, Telluride, Colorado, a few steps from the gondola into town.
Condé Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards 2026 place it No. 8 among the best hotels in the world. The magazine has named it a Readers' Choice winner many times before, in 2017, 2018 and every year from 2020 to 2024, and it singles out the staff as "as courteous as they come".
The resort has 84 guest rooms, 49 suites and several dozen private residences, yet Condé Nast Traveler finds it pleasantly intimate. A personal assistant is stationed in the Living Room, which offers coffee and snacks around the clock; waiters remember the previous day's requests, and ski valets clean and warm guests' gear. M's Restaurant serves farm-to-table food from the Rockies, and Bar M serves drinks.
