Chaim Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer, also known as Tel HaShomer Hospital, is Israel's largest hospital, located in Ramat Gan in the Tel Aviv District. It opened in 1948 as Israel's first military hospital, in former Mandate-era army barracks. In 1953 it became a civilian hospital under Dr. Chaim Sheba, and it was later renamed in his honour.

Newsweek and Statista rank Sheba Medical Center No. 7 in World's Best Hospitals 2026, their Top 250 list. Wikipedia notes that Newsweek placed it 8th in the world in 2025, the highest score for an Asian or Israeli hospital that year.

Sheba sits on an 800-dunam campus in East Ramat Gan and operates 159 departments and clinics, with close to 2,000 beds. It employs about 1,700 physicians and 12,000 other healthcare workers and is supported by nearly 1,000 long-term volunteers, researchers and foreign interns. It handles more than 1,000,000 patient visits a year, including 200,000 emergency visits.
