Achraf Hakimi
Paris Saint-Germain · Morocco

Achraf Hakimi, born on 4 November 1998 in Spain, is a professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1. He represents and captains the Morocco national team. Wikipedia calls him the African player with the most European titles.
France Football ranked Hakimi sixth at the 2025 Ballon d'Or, which Wikipedia notes is the best result ever by a Moroccan player, and he is on the 2026 shortlist of 30. The IFFHS and The Guardian both placed him seventh in 2025 and Sports Illustrated (Español) tenth. Sports Illustrated (Español) named him "el mejor lateral del mundo" (the best full-back in the world), pointing to his partnership with Dembélé on PSG's right flank and goal and assist numbers that beat many elite wingers.
Hakimi came through Real Madrid, where he won the Champions League and the Club World Cup, then spent two years on loan at Borussia Dortmund and won Serie A with Inter Milan in 2020–21. PSG signed him in 2021, and Wikipedia credits him with five Ligue 1 titles, two Coupes de France and the club's back-to-back Champions League wins in 2025 and 2026. With Morocco he played in three World Cups, including the historic run to the 2022 semi-finals, and won the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. He was also named African Player of the Year for 2025.
